USC Asian Pacific Islander Caucus (APIC) Community Networking Night When: Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Where: USC University Club Contact: Allison Kwan, co-chair (allisohk@usc.edu) RSVP by January 20 (APIC Networking Night Online RSVP form) APIC is a student-run organization at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, and strives to bring awareness to policy issues affecting the Asian Pacific Islander community on a local, national and international level. As a way to foster a community of leaders, APIC organizes events and programs to cultivate dialogue and create opportunities to promote cultural competency while enhancing professional and educational growth. February 7th marks APIC's first of many networking events to come. In partnership with OCA-GLA, a national Asian Pacific American advocacy non-profit organization, and several other student and alumni organizations at USC, this event is both an opportunity to meet other API professionals as well as an important way to cultivate leadership development. We believe it is particularly important to encourage community-oriented leaders for our future and hope that this networking event will allow USC students to gain greater insight into pursuing their professional aspirations while still engaged and aware of the issues affecting the API community. |
