Fordham Summer Program / Internship in Korea
* 3 week academic program in Seoul, Korea from June 22 - July 7, 2012
* Students may enroll in 3 credit hours by taking one of the following courses: Comparative Corporate Governance, International Commercial Arbitration, and International Business Transactions. Courses are approved by the ABA for J.D. credit.
* Courses will be taught in English by distinguished tenured faculty from Fordham, Columbia, the University of Virginia, and the University of Washington Law Schools.
* Optional Korean language lessons will be offered.
* The program will place interested students in a 5-week internship at the Korean supreme and constitutional courts, Korean government ministries, the Korean National Assembly, multi-national corporations, human rights organizations, or law firms.
* Students may choose to: receive three ungraded academic credits for internships at a tuition rate of $2,100 (with $500 payable at the time of application); or receive no academic credit for the internship upon payment of an internship placement fee of $500. Students opting for academic credits will have priority in internship placements and program housing over non-credit internship applicants.

Asian Pacific American Legal Center Internship
The Legal Services Unit of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center is seeking law student interns for the Spring semester, Summer and Fall of 2012. The unit provides free family law and immigration services for low-income, limited English proficient survivors of domestic violence with a focus on assisting the Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community.
Job description: Provide support for casework, including, but not limited to: conducting interviews with prospective clients, follow-up with existing clients, preparing family law paperwork and immigration applications, drafting client declarations, and conducting limited legal research. Interns will also perform certain administrative duties as needed.
- Candidates with experience working with domestic violence victims or with low-income immigrant communities preferred
- Experience working in an office setting or law office is also helpful
- Bilingual language skills preferred-- specifically fluency in a South Asian language or Japanese
Time commitment:
* Spring and Fall Semester: 5-6 hrs/day for 3 days/week or 8 hrs/day for 2 days/week, minimum of 10 weeks
* Summer: 35-40 hours per week, minimum of 10 weeks

Internship at Tessera
* Paid full-time summer 2012 in house internship in the field of patent litigation and licensing. Intern will have the opportunity to work with multiple groups within the company, including R&D, management, finance, licensing and sales.
* Previous experience in, or knowledge of, the field of patent law is a plus but not required
* Currently a 1L or 2L
* Minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (please provide transcripts)
* Bachelor's degree in science or engineering
* Excellent communication and organizational skills

Perkins Coie 1L Diversity Fellowship - LA office
The 1L Diversity Fellow will be responsible for: obtaining, compiling, and reviewing factual information for cases; performing relevant legal research; analyzing factual and legal material; and preparing memos, reports, and other documents for attorneys and clients. Will work on legal matters under the supervision of licensed attorneys and possibly work on matters directly related to client needs. When possible, Fellows will be involved in client meetings, negotiations, closings, telephone conferences and court appearances. Candidates must be a student in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school with demonstrated superior performance in academic settings.
